Self-care strategies are so important for stress management. Our mental and physical health may be effected if we do not recognize stress. Burnout is a big problem for people either in their professional life or home life. Self -care is an excellent way to help shield yourself from burnout and prevent it. When I have school work to do, I go in a quiet room if my children are home or I go in a quiet room, so I dont get distracted. These strategies help me stay focused and less stressed. In my personal life to let go of stress, I will exercise for 45 minutes when everyone is out of the house in the morning. By exercising five days a week, it gives me a boost of energy and more motivation. Messages are also another good alternative, to relieve stress, I go for a deep body message twice a year, my body feels so relaxed afterword’s. In my work life, collaboration with at-risk juveniles, it can get overwhelming and exhausting. My boss will let us take off for self-care. My boss will give us a day or two off for self-care. That helps to be away and having a brake. We need to be self-aware of what burnout is and how we can detect it before it happens. Many people experience burn-out by getting physically ill, feeling of hopeless, depression, anxiety, resentful. Their energy decreases and they dont care about much or fixing any issues they have. People lose interest in things they used to enjoy. To live a healthy life, you need self-care.
