Impact in internal and external customersThe processing of documents by the EDM department impact the employees and vendors affiliated with the organization. If a new hires information is not keyed in a timely manner it results in delayed processing of wages, vendors that handle the employees health and welfare benefits are not updated in a timely manner resulting in manual labor to update employees information. The employee himself will not be able to utilize benefits or access specific systems detrimental to his or her job if the new hire documentation is not in the system. If wages are not paid it costs the company $25.00 to cut a manual checks for that employee. Not to mention the fines that can be incurred by the IRS for not reporting accurate wages. Basically everyone in the company and affiliated with the company is affected by the actions of the EDM department.

Quality tools to analyze process and the improvement planThe quality tool that can be utilized to expose the problem areas is the flow chart and pie charts. We can take the information based on complaints made by the HR representatives, and vendors to determine what improvements need to be made. The Pie chart can show how many loss documents are occurring, the time it takes for documents to be processed, and turnaround for missing information. My solution to the problem is simple. Instead of having the documents faxed in the EDM department can begin to image documents. The HR representative will be responsible for issuing the correct information to the imaging group, the group will then scan the documents for processing. The original paper documents will be housed in one central location preferably an off site warehouse.

A] No! The best management tool is the tool that is already available from the end users, i.e. any software that will help the team identify projects that are needed. The biggest goal of this tool is to help in your team find more ideas and get more answers while working on projects.

A] To use this tool, all required information about project needs is gathered, verified, and distributed across all the data of the project. Here are some things that will be gathered:

A PDF of the report for the project

A copy of information on each specific change and the project, if any

Project size,

Location of the project on campus, and

Time to move ahead with

The report also contains a schedule for the team, as well as any project progress they made which are important in reducing your time spent building and managing the project, along with a document that you can use to identify progress in this process.

Quality Tools (RPMs) are a feature of our IT system which includes all the needed services and tools required to be able to handle the need of specific needs by the team. In fact, in order for this to work smoothly, everyone is going to need at least one RPM which can help they with the process of each of their work. However, if you’re the one who would like to see quality tools like quality monitors and time-varying monitors, how does this allow for more collaboration? A good solution is to simply create a single RPM in all of your project applications that all users will know about.
