As you indicated during our meeting, group has grown to a point where it needs to dramatically enhance its pre-press department so that it can continue to run effectively.
This correspondence outlines the complete scope of work you requested, including objectives, procedures, identification of responsibilities, and estimated fees.
OBJECTIVE
Implement the Presstek Anthem CTP system. Install the Presstek Anthem CTP software, including implementation and setup, training, conversion assistance, and post-conversion support of the Presstek Anthem CTP. Provide professional assistance related to this new system and coordinate the bridge to and from the ABDick Company. Success of this project is dependent not only on the CTP system, but also on your personnels skill, effort, and willingness to work as a team.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Procedures
Assist in planning implementation of the Presstek Anthem CTP.
Recommend steps required to successfully install the new system and assist in assembling setup information and data used in the implementation process.
Establish specifications for the bridge from the ABDick Company to capture information.
Establish specifications for the bridge from the existing software to new software. (Note: ABDick Company has a standard bridge but requires minor modification. The interface will be modified by ABDick Company. staff.)
Write the bridge to receive (import) the information into the Presstek Anthem CTP software.
Training and Testing
Work with you and your staff during installation and implementation to help you gain a general understanding of the system.
Train in the areas of prepress so that everyone is trained properly.
Upon completion, system test Presstek Anthem CTP to assure that it is functioning as intended and producing accurate plates based on your output.
Conversion and Post-Conversion Support
Assist in planning and assembling for the conversion to Presstek Anthem CTP, as required.
Provide free telephone support for 60days after conversion. Subsequent charges for support calls are billed in 10-minute units at $12.50 per unit.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
This project demands significant involvement by your prepress personnel. Ultimate success is highly dependent on their effort. To help achieve a smooth and successful implementation, it will be your responsibility to perform the following:
Assemble an up-to-date trial balance for all accounts as of the conversion date.
Compile a complete list of all vendors. So that we can get an idea of how many more accounts that we can get benefiting from this equipment.
BENEFITS
When the project is complete, our department will have successfully converted to the Presstek Anthem CTP system. Benefits include high resolution, chemical free, consistent and reliability, day light safe, faster roll-up and make ready and excellent wet offset print performance.
SOFTWARE COSTS AND PROFESSIONAL FEES
Software costs and equipment fee estimates are summarized on the attached schedule. These fees are effective provided (a) your accounting records are in good order, and (b) a staff member can devote full time to the implementation
