Need CaseNeed/Opportunity StatementWith all of the preliminary research that we have conducted we have been able to identify the need for our goods in Mexico. In the United States our highest volume sales stores are within 500 miles of the border. A great majority of our customers are crossing the Mexican border to shop in our stores. This establishes a great need for our goods in Mexico. We would be able to further tap into the Mexican market and allow those customers a more convenient way to access our products. Along with the need for our goods there is also a specific and profitable opportunity. This expansion provides us with an opportunity to increase our sales, improve our customer base, and to diversify our company. Expanding into different countries will allow us to continue to grow our brand and to become a leader in our industry. In the past our previous expansions have proved to be successful so that provides us with research and experience needed to be successful while expanding into Mexico.

Situational AnalysisThroughout our expansion we have conducted several different methods of research. Some of these methods include: interviewing within the company, researching competitors and cultural differences. All of these different areas have given us the information that we need to successfully begin our expansion. We have identified our company’s motivation to be: an attractive market, competitive threat, and customer pull. We also have acknowledged our financial, operational, and managerial preparedness. Mexico has shown us their need for our products and our style of clothing is targeted specifically to their citizens. There would be multiple benefits from this expansion. Some internal benefits are: diversification of the company, increasing sales, improving our customer base. An external benefit is more convenient shopping for the Mexican population. With our motivation,

Incorporation Process and Company GoalsA small, locally based company is important for all segments of Mexican society. These are the business models, social support systems, and legal processes that we follow and pursue.

A majority of the company team consists of individuals from a large geographic segment of the Mexican community. Our goal is to continue to build the company that is truly representative of Mexico. This organization seeks to create an environment of trust and mutual respect by maintaining and growing the culture and reputation of Mexican businesses. These include: (1) hiring, recruiting and retaining international talent, including: top Mexican entrepreneurs, in-house and outside of Mexico and those with experience in the Mexican capital (e.g., our brand-recognized brands, the company’s new brands, new products and new employees; and) supporting the Mexican state through economic, legal, and other activities. Incorporation strategy emphasizes the following areas:

– Social security. We recognize Social Security as a fundamental tool to support Mexican businesses’ growth.

– Social Security funds. We are aware that many Mexican families may have limited funds to support them during their life spans and we value the public-sector investment in these systems. We also realize that Social Security should be the main source for Mexican businesses. Although some families use it when they want to help themselves and some other families do not, Social Security, as we understand it, is key to Mexican business and is in very important play by promoting social and economic cohesion. Social security is a vital element of our business strategy because it enables us to work with private members, partners, and governments to ensure that funds for the social security program are used responsibly. We recognize all families and all children under the age of 18 must receive Social Security benefits for the purpose of obtaining their education and housing. We have designed the social security program to encourage individuals and families to meet their economic, educational, and health needs while maintaining the high level of participation with which they should provide for themselves. We recognize and understand the importance of social stability and social welfare, including through the provision of social assistance, training, and educational opportunities for Mexican families with disabilities. We also recognize the importance of making sure that people can achieve their full potential and participate in our government programs and to promote the common good. We recognize the social well being of Mexican citizens, including those who do not have children born in Mexico and those who do not have legal status. We also recognize the high costs associated with such a program, including taxes, health issues, and labor-saving and retirement savings programs.

– Social Security. Since we have implemented a number of social safety net initiatives, we realize that Social Security will take time to meet Mexican needs. We recognize that this can involve a wide variety of social benefits provided for our service providers. Most of Social Security’s fiscal resources are available to our members, so while we are aware of all aspects of our implementation, we believe that Social Security should be the primary means for Mexican families to provide for themselves.

– Government Support for Mexican Citizens and Persons. We are aware that Mexico has high unemployment rates, and the federal government recognizes the critical importance Mexicans face in meeting the needs of their individual and family members. We are also aware that many Mexicans, including families in communities including communities of business, find their family members on welfare and social assistance, receiving social assistance and welfare programs because of Mexican or American cultural values. We recognize the need for improved opportunities for Mexican businesses in the United States and of Mexican workers.

– Social Security Guarantee to Social Security. We recognize that any Mexican who can show that their rights under Social Security
