Pgc Shot Chart
This As Adam would say is a “long ass text” so bare with me.
Guys among other things I think shot selection was our biggest problem last night I thought our defense was decent and our rebounding was okay. I just want to share something I learned at basketball camp about shot selection.

Shot selection can be easily put into a scale from 1 to 10 skipping around a little bit.
“10” shots
There is no such thing as a 10 shot… Everybody has missed a wide open layup at least once.
“9” shots
An “9” shot is an uncontested layup that should be made 95% of the time.
“8” shots
An “8” shot is an on balance uncontested jump shot.
“6” shots
A “6” shot is a somewhat contested on balance jump shot or a somewhat contested layup.
“5” shots
A “5” shot is a shot that is off balance and contested that dont go in very often if ever.
“3” shots
A 3 shot is a shot that coach will correct… Maybe like a contested step back or contested long pull-up. Not that all pull ups or step backs are bad. Im just giving an example.

In practice we NEED to focus on getting “8s” and “9s” to make it a habit because the only way we are going to WIN is if we work TOGETHER. Lets hold each other accountable in practice and try to work on this.
