It is very essential for business and organizations to create and have a strong managerial team with a strong emphasis on the team leader. The role of the team leader is to develop an appropriate and well define objective in order for rest of the team members to follow, understand and execute the teams goal. Therefore, it is important for the appointed leader to know their personal leadership style, its strengths and weaknesses.

According to the four leadership style characterized in “The leaders window”, I am able to identify my personal leadership style as a Problem Solver. As a problem solving team leader, whenever it appears that my team doesnt have the skills or knowledge to perform an appointed task but is willing to do it, I can begin including the team in the process of decision-making and listening to their inputs. Although, there will be more effort that will be put in to influence them. The problem-solving leadership style appears sideways, i.e. us working task out together as equal.

I believe that my problem-solving style is appropriate to implement conflict resolution within the team; that is there is always a solution in which both sides (the team and I) can reach equilibrium. In addition, my leadership style allows me to state my own position precisely and consistently, Listen carefully and attentively to my team, focus on issues not personalities, seek common ground, and frequently summarize.

Strength;
This leadership style collectively taps into the wisdom of the team and all my efforts to accommodate the team can buy goodwill.
Weaknesses;
Problem solving leadership style come at the expense of lots of meeting, time, and working hours which can be tiring to the team leader.
The team leader might potentially be seen as indecisive and unable to reach a final conclusion of the task.
