Was it free will or will of man, that is the question. Well god is god so what god wants happens no matter what. That is what this paper is on, whether it is mans will or gods will. This book is by Virgil called The Aeneid.

Well the story starts out talking about Aeneas who was a Trojan who decides to travel to Italy and is written in dactylic hexameter. Aeneas is a legend and myth and is sometimes thought to have founded Rome. He is found in trouble many times by the gods through the story. Some storms take place which are about to kill him but then god saves him. This happens because god wants him to go with him to heaven one day. Therefore, it is the will of god that keeps Aeneas alive and not his own free will because Aeaneas would not have been able to stop the sea alone because he isnt god, he is man and only man has the powers to stop storms like when Jesus walked on water and calmed the storm, only he could have done that. Another thing is that he wanted to try peoples faith in him, so he created the storm in order to see how they reacted, and Aeneas acted frightened like the men in the bible so god calmed the storm before the had a heart attack and died.

The Aeneid also talks about war in part of it talking about how it is up to god who wins the war. This is like predestination. Some people believe that god chooses who goes to heaven and who does not, it is not up to the people. When people are born he knows who will die and come and be in heaven. When they are growning up they then become Christians and go to heaven. When wars happen the same thing happens. People fight each other but god already knows who is going to die and who will win the war cause he is god and he has power over everyone so it is really not up to the people who wins but up to god if the people decided it wouldnt ever be decided because they would both want to win.

In conclusion it is not the will of the mens that things
