The introduction
Phobia disorder was influencing people life and affect their normal life involuntary. When it happens, it looks very silly and interesting reactions by others. But we can imagine that occurs of the phobia will lead the embracing and loss of the dignity for the patients. Therefore, it is essential to study and understand the nature of the phobia, cause and effect, risk factor and the types of phobias. Then we can gather more information and knowledge to assist our future potential client when work as social worker.

The definition of phobia
Phobia is a kind of anxiety disorder to mention people has an intense fear and irrational reason to the different situation and certain object. It also classified in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual which is a handbook for psychology to identify different psychology disorder (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).

Elaine and Erin (2012) describe that the Phobia is normal for people fell fear all kinds’ things. But it may occurs the phobia when the fear is excess often and overwhelming which influence one’s daily life.it means that each person has their own fear and react differently, it may relate to one’s life experience, family background, ability or the genetic. However, the people who can overcome the fear may cost a lot, but if not, it may occur a phobia and intense reaction to feared or terror situation. But the most interesting thing is the feared object and situation which cause the phobia, is harmless and little which describe by Melinda, Robert & Jeanne (2010).

The Mayo Clinic (2014) has mention that the phobia is more long lasting than the brief anxiety towards the stimulation. But it will influence the clients function normally in their daily life such as social relationship with others and working.

The difference between fear, Anxiety and phobia
There is possible for people to confuse the phobia, fear or anxiety. Actually, the fear and anxiety means the uncomfortable feeling what is unease and worrying. But it is when individual facing some situation is universal reflection for all. It is because those reaction and feeling is common to all people and won’t influence their daily life. Therefore this is the fear feeling rather than phobia. On the other hand, you will give up some choice to avoid the possible situation that you may face in long period. Such as the Experiencing butterflies when peering down from the top of a skyscraper or climbing a tall ladder VS. Turning down a great job because it’s on the 10th floor of the office building. However both of the anxiety and phobia will disrupts the individual’s daily routine.

The types of phobia
There has a lot of Phobia is identify in the society and different case. Therefore the DSM-V has classify into three types of Phobia. It is include the 1. Agoraphobia 2. Social Phobia and 3. Specific phobia. There is three types of phobias with different criteria but they also show some common symptoms on the phobias. It has a terrify feeling continuous and overwhelming fear towards the situation and the certain object, and the feeling is uncontrollable. When the panic occur, you will dizziness, shaking and palpitations the body, it also appears the raise of the heartbeat with difficult breath and sweeting. At the same time, you cannot think anything but the fear with a powerless feeling. It will force you try to escape and walk away as far as possible to the situation or object. Mostly it will have a significant distress or problems with social activities, work or other areas of your life due to the fear, anxiety and avoidance and the continuous of phobia and avoidance behavior may lasting six months or longer period.

A . Agoraphobia
According to the DSM-V (5TH Ed, American Psychiatric Association, 2013) Agoraphobia defines as anxiety about being in the public area or the situation in some open area because it is difficult to escape or help mightn’t available immediately. In this disorder, the nature of the agoraphobia is the embarrassed itself. “Most Agoraphobia fear not only having panic attack but what other people will think should they be seen having a panic attack.”(Edmund, 2015). It also called as the avoidance behavior.. Agoraphobics are greatly affected by avoidance behaviors, as these issues tremendously impair the sufferer’s quality of life and overall functioning. Therefore, they may occurs in the crowed people or the closed places such as tunnel and public transportation, even some case is alone in their home
