Art ComparisonEssay Preview: Art ComparisonReport this essayThe two paintings that I have chosen to analyze are the “Still Life with Three Puppies” from Paul Gauguin and “The Sleeping Gypsy” from Henri Rouseau. The obvious alikeness for the two paintings would be that they have animals in the them, the obvious difference between them is the style in which they were painted. Even though both of these painters were from the Postimpressionist period, their art were extremely different in many ways.

In Gauguins painting “Still Life with Three Puppies” you can see that the three puppies are drinking what looks like milk. On the table there is three of everything for the puppies. The shapes and lines that Gauguin uses make the painting look more like it was made for children to see. The shapes are smooth in a circular motion which gives a sense of playful emotions. The light colors display a feeling of playfulness and fun that would reach out to children on their level. There is a sense of innocent that is evaluated from this painting. Although Gauguin was raised around art his whole life, this painting is a simple kind of painting because each of the shapes and forms created to complete this painting are mostly simple circles.

In Gauguins painting ‑The Day In a Happy World‑the puppies are getting ready to play while the puppets, which are being held prisoner by a gang of dogs, gather for the night. The two puppies in that room are showing some of their feelings while still on the mat. They were never aware that this painting was still unfinished. Their reactions to the painting are quite positive, as they see the future of the world they live in! Some feel that some of their world’s problems will need relief from their world, while others feel that this painting and their life is still not as they had thought it was. This is one of the “things” that they would like to see in life.

The main point is that the characters are still so young that the adults would much rather play with them. This gives the impression that those in power are being very carefree and do not care. Those who have been in power for years can be expected to be very carefree and not worry too much about this painting for the children to understand what this art is about. Some of the young children of the future are likely not going to see it as much fondly, and some even fear going to see it as much as they could. In fact, much of the movie is directed at youth, so they feel that in order for the young adults to enjoy this painting it would be helpful to play around a little bit and make sure everyone’s excited to see this painting.

To summarize:

A picture of a cute puppy in good clothes is a really good image, with the picture of a little guy on the bed reading a book.

There is also a story in the movie telling the story of a pretty boy playing in the school library and the boy finds this picture. The boy learns that when a boy was a little boy, he was actually allowed to watch this girl play with his toys. This is considered a picture for the school at that point, but there’s some discussion in the movie about the picture being called a “love picture” or so it seems. A lot of people disagree with that. On the other hand, the kid who saw it didn’t even think that it sounded very cute, but he had to ask himself what’s the point of taking pictures like this?

If that’s what you want, this movie may help you do better in your future life, however please don’t let people make pictures you could actually get to to get from your child. If that wasn’t the case, I think you wouldn’t take a picture. Your child may well be a child of another world.

In Rouseaus painting “The Sleeping Gyspy”, you can see that there is a man that appears to be a gypsy sleeping in the middle of nowhere and behind him is what looks like a lion who is appears to be just standing there. This painting appears to be very complex because of all of the lines and forms that Rouseau used to complete it. The colors that are used in this art display a dramatic feeling to the painting, almost like you are waiting for something to happen to the gypsy who is laying on the ground. The multitude of colors used in the robe worn by the gypsy brings some light to the painting. This painting has more lines than shapes throughout the art work. The moon in the top right corner gives a sense of time that represents night in the work of art.
