Picasso knew everything there was to know about art in his lifetime, then he created new ways that we still use today. An innovator is a person who introduces new methods, ideas, or products, and Pablo Picasso was nothing less than that. Pablo Picasso had excelled in art due to divergent thinking, stamina, and courage, throughout his life.

Pablo Picasso displayed an incredible amount of divergent thinking in his lifetime. Divergent thinking is thinking outside of the box and being creative. In 1907 Picasso created a new style of painting. Many people thought it was disgusting and had no place in the world but over time people started to love it. Also in 1907 when he created the Cubist movement Picasso painted ‘‘Les Demoiselles dAvignon”. This was his first Cubism piece. He took the classic female body and made it angular. At first it was disliked by all but later it grew more and more popular. Picasso showed astonishing amounts of divergent thinking in his Cubism movement, ‘‘Les Demoiselles dAvignon,” and many other things.

Picasso also presented a great amount of stamina in his life and work. Stamina is showing endurance and being able to work through things. Picasso was in a slump after his friend committed suicide in 1901. He was so devastated that he too fell into a depression. He eventually worked through that and made his first Cubism piece ‘‘Les Demoiselles dAvignon.” He channeled his anger and sadness from his friends death into his work. Picasso also displayed extraordinary amounts of stamina after guernica was bombed. He was so disgusted that he painted guernica to help cope with all the pain he felt and then left spain and never returned again.
