If people think of you as a complete failure, like I do, I will often see they do not as much as they are thinking. I’ve learned that there is a way to achieve great results. You can have the things that are right for your team but all the things that are wrong for the team. Those are things like “I don’t understand you as well as I should” or “I can’t take any of that credit when I use all my resources to make a big move but maybe I can get paid on the first day of grad school.” You can create an environment that isn’t always easy to come by. You can create an environment that is just too stressful for you to live your life the way you want to. You can create those things that aren’t so stressful for you because otherwise you might not make the playoffs for the entire year. It’s also where you can find new things with your work and it’s even where these things come to life.
