Dating
Spending time with this person is something that sounds remarkable. That is how dating can be perceived. In the world a person that is attracted to someone and asks them out is a way to get into the dating world. That is not the only way, however, another way has surfaced throughout the years. Technology is the thing of the present. It is used to look things up, purchase items, and even a source to meet other people that could lead to possibly dating. There is no physical touching which can help with someone being anxious and worried about what would be said next to the other person that they are attracted to. Either form of dating has its negatives and its positives, but no matter the choice in the end someone can end up happy or heart broken.

Personally, I have experienced both ways to dating. I have met my couple exes in person and explored life that route and even went to dating sites to try to find someone I connected with on a deeper level. I wanted someone I could grow with and expand my maturity and create a long lasting loving family. What I got instead was cheating men who was too into themselves. So I finally journeyed to the online sites. Found some that you have to pay to “play” and swipe one way yes or other way for a no. I went on quite a few dates, but after a gruesome experience of being attacked and stalked I chose to just be alone. Then on my 25th birthday as I was visiting Turlock, I met a man who I was interested in and hit on him. Boy did I feel hurt when he ignored the flirting. I felt ugly and unwanted. Then I went back home to Santa Maria and was browsing my friends on Facebook. I saw a guy that I was like, “who are you” as I added mutual friends back in the day. I went through his photos and saw funny faces that caught my humor interest so I decided to talk to him. The guy reciprocated and complimented me. Then I felt stupid and found out that the guy I was chatting with is the same guy I hit on at Sharkey’s on my 25th birthday. I asked why he finally “hit” on me back and he explained that he was trying to work things out with his baby mama and he finally stopped going for it. Soon after we kept chatting and been together since. Have 3 children including his first son. I connected with this topic because of my experience in both ways. I have the negative and the positive feedback on the perspectives that I feel could be a great asset to deter being biased.

Only part that I would have to be biased on is the online in a sense that the person could be catfishing you or be a crazy person that will kill you, then again that can be almost the same as meeting a person physically. They may not be catfishing you, but they could be deceiving you on a level of lying about who they are.

The argument that is at play would be the debate on if online dating is more effective and a better option than offline dating. Online dating is done through social media like Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, or even sites like Plenty of Fish, or Harmony. While offline dating is a process of meeting someone physically at work, grocery store, church, or even in passing and the person asks their interest to go out for food, movie, book reading, or even to just hang out at the beach.
