The name of this book is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the night-time. It is called this because one day, the main character of this book finds a dead dog in his neighbours garden, Murdered with a pitchfork. The character embarks on a mission to find the murderer of this animal, and he is soon whirled into a story of suspense, Laughter and lies, which ends with unexpected results
Fifteen year old Christopher Boone is our narrator and main character. He suffers from Aspergers, a form of Autism. Autistic children have particular likes and dislikes. With Christopher Boone, If he sees Four red cars in a row it is a Super good day. However, four or more yellow or brown cars make it a black day, and the day is spent not talking, eating and sitting in the corner of the classroom. A super good day would involve reading, practising Maths in his head, and in this story investigating how a dog next door was murdered. However, Autism is not all-bad. Christopher is brilliant at Mathematics and is ready to take his A-level in Maths. Christopher lives with his dad at home in Swindon. His mother has died two years ago from a heart attack. He does not understand Metaphors such as:
I laughed my socks off
He was the apple of her eye
We had a real pig of a day
The dog was stone dead
Its raining cats and dogs

Not talking to people for a long time
Not eating or drinking anything for a long time
Not liking being touched
Screaming when he is angry or confused
Not liking being in small places with other people
Groaning
Not liking Yellow and Brown things and refusing to touch Yellow and Brown things
Refusing to use his toothbrush if anyone else has touched it
Not eating different sorts of food if they are touching each other
Not noticing when people are angry
