Virtue ethics
In virtue ethics, character is the key to the moral life, for it is from a virtuous character that
moral conduct and values naturally arise. In the movie shown above of these virtue ethics
are present. The example of virtue ethics that happen in the movie “Crash” is involves a
racist police man, Ryan and officer Tom Hansen. The two officers pull over a vehicle that
matches the description of a vehicle that was just stolen. Both police officers know this vehicle is
not the stolen vehicle because the license plate do not match. Officer Tom Hansen tries to
convey the fact that this is not the stolen vehicle, but officer Ryan just blows him off. Officer
Ryan approaches the vehicle and ask for the man’s license and registration. The owner of vehicle
that the officers blows off who is the television director Cameron Thayer and asks why, Officer
Ryan immediately asks him to get out of the car. As this happening, Cameron’s wife – Christine
get out of the car and asks why they are doing this . Officer Ryan tells both of them to stand
against the car so he can frisk them. While frisking the woman- Christine, Officer Ryan
reaches his hand up into the woman‘s crotch in front of both Cameron and officer Tom Hansen.
The next morning, officer Ryan comes across a car accident and as he crawls into the overturned
vehicle, he finds Christine trapped. Upon she recognizing officer Ryan
