After consulting table 8.4 on page 260 of the textbook table, possible metals used in this experiment include:
Brass = 3.8 x 10 -2
Copper = 3.9 x 10 -2
Iron = 4.6 x 10 -2
Once figuring out that the unknown metal would either brass, copper or iron, research was done to figure out their own properties.
