Medical Insurance Availability
Essay title: Medical Insurance Availability
On August 26, 2004, the Census Bureau reported that 45 million Americans lacked health insurance in 2003, up by 1.4 million from 2002 and 5.2 million from 2000. The report states that this increase is “statistically significant.” The number of people without health insurance is still increasing. Health insurance should be paid

for by the government because Americans need money for other things, it would save lives, and the government can afford it.
Americans face significant expenses such as: house payments, car payments, cell phone payments, children, and necessary bills. Many people lack a sufficient amount of money to pay all these expenses. If health insurance was provided by the government, Americans could pay all their bills, keep their children happy, and stay healthy.

With numbers of Americans without health insurance rising above 45 million, death rates are climbing. This extreme problem is not given enough notice by the government. Apparently people dying isn’t enough to prove that this issue must be taken care of. If the government would spend the money that it has on medical insurance, a significant decrease in deaths would take place.
