Jeddah Chamber of Commerce
The JCCI is a non-profit organization, and the first chamber in Saudi Arabia dedicated to preserving and strengthening both public and private sectors; moreover, improving the quality of life in Jeddah.

– Types of organization (analyzing the structure of an organization):
Mechanistic, providing stakeholders with a wide range of services and programs which promote civic, social, business and economic growth and development,

organic, where line managers are empowered to setting annual initiatives and objectives in terms of business needs and priorities.
JCCIs structure is a Divisional Form type, where Line Managers are relied upon to deliver against targets and co-ordinate activities.
* Mechanistic: this type of organization has highly differentiated and specialized tasks and hierarchical controls.
* Organic: this type of organization offers its workers more personal autonomy over their work and has networks of communication and co-ordination.
– Organizational Value Systems:
Its value is mix of task and person orientation, the JCCI serves its stakeholders needs by setting and defining specific goals for each one of them.
L&D focuses on Job needs and developing higher-level skills and performance criteria, as well as focusing on individual needs, especially the line manager, to be highly qualified and regarded as the highest caliber of executive by other organizations.

* Task orientation: achievement of goals is paramount, training &development is likely to be focused on the individual to improve job training and increase performance, rather than taking a long-term corporate view.

* person orientation: exists to serve the needs of its members, training &development may find itself helping individuals to develop their skills for their own end or career, almost at the expense of the needs of the organization as a whole.

– Major functions:
The main functions of the chambers are: To act as facilitator, analysis of general policies, support foreign trade and business sector growth, offer specialized services for members, and Improve the quality of life.

– JCCI Strategic objectives
1. Raising customers satisfaction
2. Contributing to develop the infrastructure of roads, buildings and the environment in the city of Jeddah
3. Preserving the chambers image as a leader chamber by developing its strategies and achieving its aims and destinations
4. Creating an economic and investment environment to encourage Saudis youths to be self-employed
5. Developing the mechanism/method of the committee and activating its roles
6. Spreading out economic awareness
7. Contributing to develop regulations and laws that support the national economy
8. Improving the environment of business administration to get along with the current economic growth
9. Making/Producing a suitable environment for investment in the city of Jeddah to cope with the variables of local, regional and international
10. Creating an economic environment and investment environment to encourage the Saudi youth to work freely
11. Attracting foreign investment in the city of Jeddah
12. Developing services that provided to the chamber members
13. Increase the provision of information
Learning and Development function
Helping JCCI to fulfill its goals, offer varied services such as, personal services, management systems, and undertaking JCCIs strategy.
L & D function is managed by a cost center organization and development department, mixed between outsourced and Consultancy Shared service.
The organization and development department structure consists of : Human resources and Performance. So, to be able to carry out that, we have got to do the following

* Engage a performance manager and offer hem the necessary training in order to train his subordinates, mixed
