There have been numerous music artists throughout the years. But only a few of them have promoted peace and unity though their music. The one who outstood the most was Nesta Robert “Bob” Marley. He was able to promote peacefully and powerful movements through the words of his songs. The following essay will be about why Nesta Robert “Bob” Marley is so important to me and what his life was about.
Nesta Robert “Bob” Marley born February 6, 1945 in Jamaica. Growing up without a father and was constantly ill-treated, Nesta did not have that great of a childhood. One of his most famous quotes that kept him going through the rough times was “I dont have prejudice against himself. My father was a white and my mother was black. Them call me half-caste or whatever. Me dont dip on nobodys side. Me dont dip on the black mans side nor the white mans side. Me dip on Gods side, the one who create me and cause me to come from black and white”.
In the early 60s, Bob Marley his first two hit singles, “Judge Not” and “One Cup of Coffee”. In the early 60 Marley grouped up with Bunny Livingston, Peter McIntosh, Junior Braithwaite, Beverley Kelso, and Cherry Smith. They named there group “The Teenagers”. They then later changed their name to “The Wailing Rudeboys”, then to “The Wailing Wailers”, and finally to “Wailers “. Unfortunately in the mid 60 they lost 3 of there group members, leaving only Marley, Livingston, and McIntosh. Another 10 years passed by and in 1977 the trio broke up leaving Marley by himself. But that didn’t stop his musical career. Marley unrelenting to thrive as a solo artist producing more hits than he had ever had in the Wailers.
I choose bob Marley for my report because he is an interesting subject. He has also had a remarkable effect
