MACBETH
In the tragic play ” Macbeth” by William Shakespeare, the writer clearly conveys the prominent role of Macbeth in the tragic events taking place.
At the start of the play Shakespeare shows us how, Macbeth, the main character in the play, is determined to be King after he has an encounter with the three witches, they tell him that he will be King. Shakespeare shows us this when the witches say,

“All hail Macbeth, hail to thee, thane of Glamis! All hail Macbeth,
Hail to thee, thane of Cawdor! All hail Macbeth that shall be King hereafter!”
After this Macbeth is very interested in what the witches have said. He cant stop thinking about it. This shows us that Macbeth wishes to become King and would be willing to do anything to get it.

In the next stage of the play, Shakespeare, shows us how much Macbeth is willing to do to become King. When Duncan (the King) names his son, Malcolm, as his successor Macbeth starts to contemplate murder.

“The Price of Cumberland – that is a step, on which I must fall down,
or else oerleap.”
This tells us that Macbeth feels that Malcolm is an obstacle to the throne that he must overcome.
At the next part of the play, William Shakespeare shows us that Macbeth is serious about committing a murder because he decides to write to his wife and tell about what he feels needs to be done. This is the first time we are introduced to Lady Macbeth and she seems to be very interested in what her husband is suggesting but yet she feels that she would be too good to carry out such a task. Shakespeare shows us this when Lady Macbeth says,

“Yet I do fear thy nature, it is to full othe milk of human kindness to
Catch the nearest way.”
This shows us that Lady Macbeth feels that this is a very good idea but she feels unable to carry it out because she thinks that she is to kind and good.

In the next section of the play, William Shakespeare shows us that Macbeth does not want to carry out the murder of King Duncan. Lady Macbeth is very keen for her husband to become king and persuades him to carry on with their plan. Shakespeare shows us this when Lady Macbeth says,

“What beast wast then, that made you break this enterprise to me.”
This shows us that Lady Macbeth is telling him that he is not a man for backing out of this, so Macbeth does not back out. I feel that this shows us that Macbeth did have a choice to back out of the murder and that he really did want to go ahead with it deep down.

At the next stage of the play Shakespeare shows us how Macbeth does not feel any guilt for killing king Duncan. Shakespeare does this after the king the king has been found and Macbeth says,

“Here lay Duncan, his silver skin laced with golden blood.”
This shows me that Macbeth was trying to make people think that he was loyal and respected the King. Macbeth put the blame of Duncans murder on his guards as he planted the daggers which killed Duncan on them.

At the next section of the play, William Shakespeare, shows us how Macbeth starts to take over and pushes Lady Macbeth away. He starts to get nervous about Banquo and takes charge. Shakespeare does this when Macbeth says,

“For Banquos issue have I filled my mind, for them the gracious
Duncan I have murdered.”
This shows us that Macbeth is worried that he has killed Duncan and Banquos sons will become kings. He arranges to meet
