One Way or Another We Can Save Lives in Africa
It was July, a month before Milton and Lola’s trip to Africa. They had read about starvation, disease, and conditions in Africa. They would fly to Africa from the United States with tons of supplies to help build and feed the African people. Milton and Lola saved up all their money for one year to buy supplies.

“Five hundred twenty, five hundred fifty, six hundred!” Lola exclaimed. That was how much money she had saved in the past year.
“I have seven hundred seventy seven dollars.” Milton said.
Typing into the calculator Lola screams, “Oh my gosh! That’s one thousand three hundred seventy seven dollars!”
All that money would be used for building safer homes, food, medicine, and clothing for the people in a small African village in Kenya. With that money and their purpose they can also send it into the Red Cross Association to triple the money. So in the end they would really have $4,131 for their trip, which they thought, was enough.

The next morning Milton and Lola went to the Red Cross center and showed their money and told their story of why they needed the money.
Jennifer, their Red Cross assistant said, “You will need more than just triple the money. You will need a private plane with lots of cargo, and also some very expensive medicines to help cure some of those diseases!” Jennifer ended up giving them a whopping $300,000!

After, Milton and Lola headed for the store. They grabbed tons of clothes because they had read that the Africans were not able to fully dress because they didn’t have the money. They also went to the lumber store to get wood and tools to build studier homes. After, they went to the landscaping store to get soil and flowers.

Two days before their journey to Africa, Lola and Milton went to the grocery store.
“I’ve got this side of the store!” Lola called.
“Okay, then I guess I have this side.” Milton signed.
Lola’s side of the store had the food that was refrigerated and fresh fruits and vegetables. Milton had canned food, bagged foods, and medicines.
When Milton and Lola were finished, they had tons of cart filled to the top with fruits, vegetables, water, and medicine. They paid and headed for the warehouse to keep the food cold overnight.

The next morning bright and early, Milton and Lola headed for the warehouse to get the food and other things they had stored there over the past month. Then they went to the airport in a big eighteen wheeler filled with everything they needed for their trip.

The plane they got was big but it was mostly for cargo. This is exactly what they needed.
