Growing up, weve always heard the same ranting from each of our parents: “We never had a computer, or the internet. Hell, weve never even had video games or cell phones.” Education before the world was once again revolutionized by new technology was very difficult, where almost every curriculum was rigirous. Today, its true – we have so much resources on the internet (more like Google) that can be utilized. Theres no reason to make an excuse anymore due to our own negligence and poor performances in many classes, which ultimately lead to horrible grades. However, with the new technology thats evolving and perhaps, once again, can revolutionize the world, people as young as toddlers might be influenced or exposed to this new technology way to early in life.

During most of our childhoods, some of the most popular things that were around included the Nintendo 64, the Playstation, Sega Genesis, as well as many other consoles. The PC and the Macintosh were slowly developing, along with the internet. There wasnt even such thing as a smartphone or a 3G/4G LTE network. Today, there are more advanced gaming consoles, such as the Wii U, the Xbox 360, the PS3, and others. Also, there are tablets, smart phones, smart TVs – you name it. My only point is this: people at a young age shouldnt be exposed too early to these types of technology. It will only rot their brain and eventually hurt them in the future.

What ever happened to reading a (physical) book, or reading an actual newspaper, or just observing the world that we all live in? Anyways, the really frightening part about all of this is the fact that toddlers are being exposed to iPhones or Nintendo 3DSs. Sometimes I even wonder, “How come they are having the chance to experience this technology, and when we grew up, we never had this kind of technology to begin with?” I mean, some of us have never been exposed to a simple cell phone. I dont know if its bad parenting or not, but to me, I feel like a child shouldnt be spoiled this early in their life. This is only calling for the childs downfall in the upcoming future.

But its not even about technology; its about the simple fact that the people of the new generation (which I like to call, the younger generation) are four times lazier than some of the people in this current generation. To think that at young ages, freshmen would be trying to make friends with the security guards, or having Facebook/Instagram accounts, or cheating, or cutting classes, or wearing even Gucci or Burberry attire, or even getting 65s on their report card and being cool with that. Seriously, what the hell? Dont they have any care towards their education? Have
