Ethics Case
In month of October 2008, I was excited to get into a new project that involved implementing modern banking solutions for a bank in Canada. who cares? Delete that. Project was divided into a number of teams and I was part of the team whose work was crucial for the initial success of the project. Hence, we were under tremendous pressure to deliver within a tight deadline of six months.

(Though, the project took off on right foot, many issues started creeping in early stages for the project) maybe u should delete the above statement…u will need more words. To measure the progress of the project and to discuss issues we had a weekly team meetings. In these meetings, our manager would consolidate all the issues and brief senior management about them. As time passed, most of the issues were not resolved and would show up on every week’s team meeting. Our manager after listening to the issues would (use some other word, or express differently) at us for not resolving them. She would discard our limitations such as lack of proper training and inter dependencies between teams as unreasonable excuses. She was adamant that we fulfill over responsibilities at any cost even if it meant degradation of work quality. She and our team leader were constantly bickering and we were often forced to take sides. Her anger manifested in many forms. She would intentionally pick on our team and project it as a dysfunctional, incapable part of the project. She would post derogatory comments of people slacking on facebook and also reduced the number of team coffee breaks. Whenever, we tried to reach out to explain our stance, we were pushed aside without giving considerable thought to our suggestions or opinions. Because of this rift, not much progress was made on issues though we were falling short of time without success. In reality, as a team we had made considerable progress on resolving issues. But, it wasn’t being portrayed properly by the manager as she would not get us involved in client and senior management interactions.? Why…that shows something about her personality. We had worked hard, somtimes till late hours, underwent self-learning, and leveraged individual strengths to make our project successful. (need to talk about individual issues and correlate them with her personality)….please do that.
