Slapped in the face with a sinking deadline and a lethargic demeanor to fashion the “life saver,” tune. Certainty within fifteen hours, is it in the equation for a novice to market? Confidence running high; immaturity reeking unbearably in the air, how would I capture the essence of the grand ball at Center Stage? Center Stage, the foci of all great performances, will it be mine?

It had been the lucky break at Manrose Park that landed this opportunity of a lifetime in my trembling, troubled and tired hands. Now, they expected a gem of a tune to shimmer through the night, the last night of the Twentieth Century! I knew I was talented, my team was superb, we were hungry for a glimmer of hope, but fifteen hours of lag time worked counter cycles between anguish and a lavish future.

Prayers and foes seemed to plague the senses, music flying afar in an alternative dimension. That crazy, illusive tune, where was it? Then came the nervous convulsions deep in the stomach, I was never known to carry my liquor with dignity, the pressure unrelenting, the moment absolutely stupendous!

The Chinese have a saying for this, but what theÐwhy am I thinking Chinese? So many of themÐChop Sticks, Dragons, Tigers, Gravity! Gravity? They are on the other side of the world, upside Down. Then it hit me like a bold bolt of visionary steel. The masked tune, that illusive tune: I was in a Hell rolled over Ð- turn it upside down, and what a way to dance into the new Millennium: “Heaven. Im in HeavenÐ…!”
