The Right to Bear Arms
The right to bear arms is one of the things that make our nation such a great and peaceful nation. It gives us protection and safety. In our homes, we need guns and other weapons to help protect our family and other valuable possessions that are kept there. In case of a robbery we need a weapon to defend ourselves and family.

Self defense is a big issue. Today, if someone is caught in your house, it gives you the right to bear arms because that person is trespassing on private property, and could possibly do harm to you or your family.

My family owns a lot of guns. We love to go shooting and we go at least once a month. I feel there is nothing wrong with having fun with family and friends while shooting targets, bottles, old TV’s, and other items. The feeling you get when you shoot your new gun for the first time is very fun.

I think if they did stricter gun laws than the crime rates might decrease a little, but that won’t stop criminals from getting guns. They will find a way to get one, and they can get it fast. I definitely don’t think that they can take our guns away from us. We have the right to own guns whether it’s for protection or for fun like hunting, that’s our right.

In conclusion, I am for the right to bear arms if it is going to make myself, my family, and others that I care for safe and secure. If you disagree than you don’t have to own a gun, but maybe someday you will be thankful for the rights that you have as an American.
