France during the French Revolution suffered many hardships both socially and politically. Politically we see France go through many governments, from a monarchy, to a constitutional monarchy, to a directory, to a Republic all the way to a empire. This was only in a spand of 15 to 10 years. thats freaking amazing man. Under Napoleon France becomes a republic under the rule of three consulets, Napoleon being one of them. Napoleon later declares himself the emperor of France and goes on a spree conquering many lands such as Italy, Spain, and Eastern Europe. He even went as far as to invade Russia but failed miserably. France also went through the reign of terror when they were under Robespierre where Robespierre committed mass murder on all those who did not support his causes.

Socially France had to go through many constitutions and documents. In the Declaration of the Rights of Man we see that it states that all men are created equally and that all men can vote. Olympe fought for women suffrage but was later executed for being to extreme. Throughout the French Revolution women gained no rights in fact women lost more rights toward the end of the revolution than they had at the beginning of the revolution.
