“Josie and the Pussycats” is a satire based on the music industry and a friendship between three girls. The four key concepts represented in this media text are: media have codes and conventions, construct reality, contain ideologies and values and have commercial implications. It is a little tough to analyze the four concepts due to the fact that the media is being portrayed in a media text. The concepts used assist the audience in being persuaded to believe that the music industry functions in that manner, product placement completely controls our thoughts and producers will do anything to keep the interest of the audience.
