because he has an atrocious record in matters of honesty. The man is an opportunist. But the last couple of weeks have proved very tough for many with regards to the death of the Malawian President including yours truly. I have pinched myself several times because I agreed with some ashouse that the property was on fire the people in the dwelling wouldnt flinch pects of what the professor said. I disregard the murder theory as espoused by the professor but I tend to agree with his description of the “prophet”. The murder theory is just speculation but it was an open secret in Malawians circles that the late president and vice president , who has now taken the reins of power, did not see eye to eye. While we are still in the speculation mood, why did she, within hours of taking over sack the Chief of Police? The late presidents remains were still in South Africa. Normally an incoming leader sacks the cabinet if he or she needs fresh faces and ideas. Like I said we got a right to speculate especially from the fringes.
What of T B Joshua. It is a fact that some where in the world today a new church is formed every 6 months especially in “developing” or “under developed” countries. The prophets of yester year were poor servants of the Lord it is stated in the good book. Todays on the other hand have become multi millionaires especially the humble looking Josh. They are milking it from the most vulnerable people on this planet. Arent we “blessed” because Zimbabwe is starting to breed its own prophets at break neck speeds? There is now Founder of the United Family International Church Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and at 32 he is attracting huge crowds all over the country. His church, is less than 3 months old. Why do we always seem to tread in Nigerias footsteps? But there is word on the street that our ever efficient secret service is watching his prophesies carefully because it is fashionable at the moment to prophesy the health of world leaders. The roads in Zimbabwe are very dangerous and our fire service always rushes to the scene of a fire without water!
Back to Josh. If the honorable prophet knew what was awaiting the late president why did he not plead with him to seek medical help quickly? Remember the Bolton Wanderers young man who collapsed on the pitch 4 weeks ago and was saved thanks to the quick thinking medical staff. Our African leaders get the best medical treatment money can buy while Joe Public succumbs to very preventable infections. Is it not a fact that Africa is full of ageing dictators, sorry, statesmen and the law of averages is very clear for anyone to see. One of them can easily snuff out, out of the blue. Maybe I am in the wrong job. Whats wrong with us? Man we got a Problem!
