Mrs. Flowers
Mrs. FlowersShanta LehmanENG/121Kristin DeMarrJune 29, 2015In this passage, I read about a woman that was very sweet and kind to others. She was very eager to teach others about life learned lessons and what to do to be successful. Mrs. Flowers was a very wise woman and was knowledgeable on life. Mrs. Flowers was very determined to help Marguerite become better in all perspectives when it comes to exceeding in what they called later, “my lessons in living”(Maya Angelo, pg.2, 3rd para). I feel one of the descriptive writing patterns that was used in this essay was, “her skin was a rich black that would have peeled like a plumy if snagged”(Maya Angelo, pg.1, 3rd para). It painted a visual picture of how her skin was and the texture of it. It basically was putting you there in the story, like you were actually touching her skin and you felt the texture of her skin. In my essay I will use life learned lessons of me being a mother to my children, and using descriptive words to explain my life as a mother. I also will be verbal when it comes to expressing the journey I have gone through experiencing motherhood. I will express in detail the love I have for my children and my family. I believe strongly in family and will go into detail explaining what obstacle I have had to run into, to become the outstanding mother I am today. This concludes my essay and I hope from reading this passage everyone got something out of it.
