Wallstreet The MovieEssay Preview: Wallstreet The MovieReport this essayThe movie “Wall Street” is a representation of poor morals and disappointing business ethics in the popular world of business. This movie shows the negative effects that bad business morals can have on society. The two main characters are Bud Fox played by Charlie Sheen and Gordon Gekko played by Michael Douglas. Bud Fox is a young stockbroker who comes from an honest working-class family but on the other hand, Gordon Gekko is a millionaire who Bud admires and wants to be associated with. Greed seems to be a huge theme of this movie. This movie portrays the unethical society we live in. It shows how money oriented society has become and that people will do almost anything to get ahead. Competitiveness has become such a widespread game all over the country, especially in big cities.

At the start of Wall Street, Bud Fox is young and insecure about the business world. Bud is a broker seeking new clients and offering second-hand advice regarding the buying and selling of stock. Bud was faced with a choice that would change his life. He was so sure he wanted to be involved with Gordon Gekko that he was willing to do whatever it took to be a part of his immoral scheme. It only took about five minutes for Bud to agree to give insider information about stocks to Gekko in order to become more lucrative and manipulative at the same time. Buddy Fox, liven is a small, cramped, and old apartment in the big apple. Buddy works weekdays from 9:30am to 4:00pm as a stockbroker; he buys and sells stock for other people over the phone and computer in a cubical. Buddy was different from the other brokers, his dream was to make the big times, just like his idle, Mr. Gecko. Buddy had tried getting a meeting with Mr. Gecko for a long time, but one day his hard work and effort paid off, he came to his office and they had a long talk. Gecko liked what Buddy was telling him but he wanted to be more interested.

Gecko is a very rich, greedy, bad, and snobby person, he has so much money and he gets it mostly from illegal insider trading. Gecko took Buddys advice and bought some stock off the market to make money, and made a heavy profit of millions, Gecko calls Buddy and gives him one million dollars as thanks for the help. Gecko was impressed. Gecko was very good and convincing actors, also all though this story was very though out, its not true, its morals are wrong and its description of todays business and the stock market arent true. Gecko decides to meet up with Buddy again and make a deal with him, he wants Buddy to get him insider information and Gecko will reward Buddy with lots of money.

The beginning of the end comes when Gekko formulates a plan to make Blue Star Airlines — the company Buds father, Carl works for more profitable. But that all changed when Buddys father entered the picture. Bud Fox has such information from his father, an aircraft mechanic and union leader, and he gives the information to Gekko to become part of the latters organization. During a speech to shareholders of Blue Star Airlines, Gekko proclaims that greed is good, greed for life, for love, and even for power Carl Fox is a man that has spent his whole life working for a single company, Blur Star airlines. When his son, Bud spots an opportunity to make money with Blue Star Airlines, Carl senses something unscrupulous about the deal and begs Bud to get out of it. He doesnt, and quickly discovers

Carl is a proud American, but the fact of his life is that he worked for Blue Star airlines and has done for them for many, many years. When Gekko gives the company back this information, Bud and Bud fight. As Carl tries to force his way out of Bud’s way to make the agreement and the deal work, he has to fight the machinations of his father in order for his son to make a deal he knew he didn’t want, and also out his way against every company he has worked for.

As Carl, Bud, and Carl prove that the way to make business work can only be by getting away with bad business. It is up to them to make Blue Star Airlines a part of this, make a deal that works, and only work. Don’t blame the customers for it and go out, but if you leave with a bad impression to one man, the more and more people go out by letting the situation go out of their way

Not everyone is perfect and is there a lot of good people that just don’t make the right decisions every day, even though they make the right work everyday and in the right way to make those decisions.

What separates Carl Fox from everyone else is his family background, which includes his grandfather in his business. But at the moment, a lot of people are not as fortunate for Carl and his family. That’s how much Carl Fox is trying desperately to prove the way to success for his family, including bringing about one of the most successful industries in the history of the industry.

“In this case, I’d like to share an article from last week, and I hope that you can join me to share it with your family and friends. The most important thing for most of us is to find out more about Bud and his father for more information. He’ll only be around for that. A bit after this, in the back of our minds, if you see something, let it come up because it’s interesting to me how he works. This article, I hope, becomes a catalyst for you all to join my company of friends and family.
