Do you go and read the book of something before you go and see the movie?? If we dont read the book before we see the movie we wont understand the difference between the movie and the book. It is very rare that both and movie and the book are even close to being the same. In movies, most characters have been deleted and others invented. Settings have also been changed from the book to the movie. Also, the actors that are in the movie may not be anything like the characters in the books. People should spend the time to read a book before they go see the movie so they can say what they think and which one they like better.

First, in books and novels, the characters are very important to the plot. Movies often are changed from the novels or books they are made after. Dialogue has also been altered to please a wide variety of people viewing the movie. Screenwriters assume only a small percentage of the audience has actually read the book. If only a small percent of the audience has read the book, most of them wont know the difference between the book and the movie they are seeing.

Second, settings have been changed or altered from the book to the movie. It is necessary to have the same settings in the movie that were in the book. Settings often give the tone of the story. Directors can make similar settings but it is crucial to get as close as they can to the book.

Last, the actors in the movies that play the characters from the story may not be liked and may not portray the characters as how they were in the novel. It is essential to have the characters and the actors as closely related as possible. Also, the screenwriters or directors may not want the actor who can do it better because they may want too much money to be in the movie. The actor may not meet the readers expectations of how the character should sounds like or look like. The characters in movies are defined by the actors chosen. In a book, however, the characteristics of a person in a novel may be left to the readers imagination.

Movies and novels that the movies are based off of tend to change drastically: from the characters to the settings to the dialogue. Characters portrayed in novels are left to the readers imaginations. In movies, however, characters are defined by the actors that are chosen for that role. Settings often change because the directors may not have the ability to create a scene exactly like it was in the novel. Dialogue is also changed because most movies are two hours or less. It is hard to fit 200+ pages into that small of a time frame. People should read the book and see them movie to understand the difference and to be able to accurately choose which one they like better.
