Maturity
Maturity. A word used so frivolously with little to no true understanding of what it means to be mature.  To be mature has nothing to do with how many years that someone has lived; it is based more on how many times they’ve made a mistake or experienced someone elses mistakes and learned from them.      When I was younger my dad used to preach be the bigger person, to take a step back           from the situation, and try to be rational. The dictionary defines mature as fully           developed; perfected. Personally it has taken me quite some time to figure out there is            no age limit on maturity, while this may be true, it also means there isnt an age limit on           immaturity either. Unfortunately some people don’t mature by learning from the errors            of their ways, like some fine wine, they mature with age. As that may be, others achieve            the milestone of maturity with the use of their wisdom to acknowledge their mistakes and           to prevent themselves from committing another act of the same nature. To be mature you            do not have to have a height requirement or be of a certain age, you mature according to            how well you can comprehend all that happens around you.                  Maturity is how well you can comprehend what you have done wrong, and prevent            yourself from committing the same mistake again. Maturity. This single word, this eight            letter word, holds a meaning so much deeper than we can comprehend, yet many of us            become mature everyday. Whether it be from age or from knowledge everyone matures            in their own way.
