Consider the global company impact on Kodak Australasia.IntroductionEstablished in 1888, Kodak has been a market leader through continual innovation in existing markets and successful establishment in new markets in the very competitive market place of photography. Kodaks success would not be anywhere near what it is today with out the implementation of entrepreneurship in the organisation, the encouraged constant entrepreneurial mindset that its employees posses, and it cutting edge Research and Development team. The entrepreneurial mindset of the employees of Kodak is shown through the many different areas Kodak are pursuing in the market place, and it is what gives Kodak its edge in such a competitive market place.

The Idea

How can the ideas of the new Kodak business be applied in the Kodak organisation? There are a number of reasons, this is my view. 1. As a young organisation Kodak is developing a vision and a concept for its future. The new company aims at providing a digital market and online services, with one of the world’s leading research centres and data centres. The Digital Trends Institute (DRI) is an organisation that produces research that is used by industry professionals, academics and technologists.

2. Kodak has developed some good technologies, technology-based solutions (IT) and a number of unique strategies for development. We used the Kodak logo to create the logo in order to showcase its achievements.

3. Kodak has its unique way of looking at a product. Kodak uses its own colour and text, has a unique layout and a unique branding.

4. the new company has a broad spectrum of different platforms. However, the team focused their time on the most fundamental aspects of our digital business, the idea of having the best online services available on the ground in multiple markets. Our vision is that the most open platform can be used to help create the best digital experiences in the world. The idea goes beyond simply building online services to offer a variety of options which have multiple benefits to the company.

As a part of our digital business, I believe that every team has a unique approach to the digital transformation to be taken seriously. Therefore, the new Kodak has a different perspective than other Digital Trends and I think we have a unique way to approach the digital transformation in the world.

The concept behind the brand name Kodak

Kodak has a concept called Kodak, which means the company is defined by the vision and its values, but is also very specific to itself. This brand name is important as the brand can only be defined through its business, the team focus on the business and can have multiple values to carry on.

Kodak’s vision is a digital technology for online services. Its business strategy comes from providing service providers information on online offerings. It is not the content or the service that is used as the way to access online services. A digital services is being created that can be used as a means to reach as many customers as possible and this will make the services viable. The core goal of the company is to create a service that does not only offer online services, it also can offer digital services. There are many elements to this, each individual aspect is the essence of the brand. This is what Kodak is based on and the essence of the brand is information on how to access online services online.

There are two main objectives to this vision. The first objective is to change how we manage the organisation and for each staff member, to make the team more agile to get in the way and find the talent of the company. Also, we need to increase the staff size of the team and that is the second objective. All employees should have no fewer than 8,000 hours work experience with Kodak. The only issue we currently have is increasing redundancy between the company, and this can be worked on.

I would like

Entrepreneurship and Innovation within KodakThe key to entrepreneurship within Kodak come down to two things: 1) StaffR&D DepartmentStaff have an enormous role in the entrepreneurial side of Kodak, with staff constantly being encouraged to think out side the square. Evidence of this is the fact that over 100 employees have filed at least 20 patents each, with 3 of them having filed over 100, all on behalf of the company. This promotes the employees to take ownership of their ideas, which encourages motivation to follow up ideas and essentially get them up and running and successful. Examples of this are such projects as providing the photography equipment in a robot that went to Mars and the potential implementation of quality cameras into mobile phones.

New Markets:Kodak is a company, that when it sees an opportunity to advance into a new area where revenue can be made, it not only enters that area, but becomes the field leader. The importance placed on entry and growth in the various new markets has led to Kodak becoming an international giant.

The major new market that Kodak has to deal with at the minute is the implementation of digital electronics. Kodaks fast acting in this area has made it an early market leader. However, market leading in this day and age is a lot harder than ever before, because of the amount of new entrants into the market. But with every up comes a down, and so too, this new market of digital posses a threat to Kodak, because it makes their traditional products obsolete. As the Asian and European markets are moving on to digital, it would seem that it would be the best area to focus on, however, it has to be taken into account that the rest of the world are still only up to using the traditional film! There are many options for the entrepreneurial team at Kodak to weigh up when considering decisions like these, but with over 100 years experience under its belt, this dilemma may just prove to be another brick-in-the-wall. I feel that the Problem could be solved by focusing half their energies on traditional products and half on digital. This would mean that there would be minimum risk for maximum return as they would be spreading there market.

Company Direction:Although Kodak does have goals in place and plans mapped out for the future, it is very hard to see where the next opportunity is until it is on your doorstep, as in this industry one minute a product is the latest fad, the next they are unwanted and obsolete. This rule helped develop one of Kodaks chief principals. Rather than try to survive in existing markets, and battle obsolescence and try to keep a product in fashion, they simply move into a new market that is still yet to peak.
