In 1967 women only earned 58 cents compared to a mans dollar. Men have always earned more money compared to the female counterpart. Men have always earned more then women, it seems. Many jobs have been changing over the years, jobs that were mainly male dominated jobs are slowly becoming more female oriented. While the same is happening with men moving toward more jobs that twenty years ago would have been a job that only women would have worked.
Being a therapist is an occupation that ten years ago was completely dominated by men, now many women are invading this workplace. I believe it should be that anyone should be able to pursue whatever job they want to do, regardless of their sex, God should be the only person who decides what career you have. Construction is a very physically demanding job, but that doesnt mean it is only a mans job, many women enjoy doing this kind of physical labor. Women are viewed as the cooks, and cleaners of the house, but in many other households the women may be the primary source of income, while the man stays at home, with the children, cooking and cleaning. Many years ago this would be completely unheard of. Women are making leaps in the job search, but are still not making as much as men.
Nursing is a job that many people would see as a womens job. The total of men in nursing jobs has doubled in recent years, now nearly 10.5% of all nurses are men. Men have been making their way into these pink collar jobs (jobs viewed as womens jobs). In Texas nearly 25% of the teachers are all male. This nearly doubled from the dismal 12% this was at ten years ago. Many men are now seeing that the pink collar jobs interest them, and are finding that there are many ne fields they can enter to fulfill their many interests. There are also those jobs that, still, are completely controlled by a certain sex. Carpenters are a job that men are in control of. There are less than 1% of female carpenters in the U.S. while on the other side doctors assistants are 99.7% women.
I believe that all jobs can be done well by either sex. Sex doesnt determines the skill, or focus of an individual to do their work. God is the only person who can decide what you can do, no one else may choose your occupation, or make your choices, only God. Any
