Manly Man
The standard of what society considers” a man” has changed over the decades. In the 60’s, you had do be a gentleman. In the 70’s, you had to do drugs. Now it is cool to be fearless and crude.

According to society’s standards, to be considered a “man”, you have to be successful (nice car, big house, expensive things, a lot of money, high paying job), have beautiful women, and be self-centered. There is a disadvantage that society hardly notices about these three standards. If you had to be “successful” to be a man, you might forget about God, family and friends. If every man had to have a beautiful wife, a lot of women could die trying to achieve the goal of being beautiful by getting plastic surgery or other methods of achieving beauty. If a man is self-centered and greedy, he may end up lonely and without friends.

The divorce rate in America is over 50% which may be because men pick wives that are good looking but do not actually love them. In Ephesians 5:33, Paul says, “ However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” If more people had respect
