Things such as drugs, abuse of alcohol and dangerous weapons have only made themselves apparent in the last hundred years or so. However, still evident in our world, as they were 2000 years ago are things such as divorce, male dominance and mothers who kill their children. Although Medea was written almost 500 BC it still portrays many things that manifest in today’s current affairs. Divorce in eminent in the play because Jason leaves Medea for another woman, this is still very common today. Male dominance is portrayed when Jason feels that he can just toss Medea aside when he feels like it. And Mothers who kill their children is evident of course when Medea kills her own offspring. “Your father’s treachery cost you your lives.” (Pg 59).
The Problem
Although we are sure of the many difficulties and problems that Medea has encountered in modern times, there is one thing that the current situation does not address. There are so many problems not only to solve, but also to address that there was no need to add anything else to the situation. The problems we are asking about in our present present position of society are so complex and so varied as to make them hard to believe. What is clear is that the current situation does not have solutions for all those difficult problems. We don’t have solutions which might help improve the society, but only solutions which are not so difficult and which allow people to make changes so that future generations who are not yet prepared for our kind society will grow out of it.
The solution of today is not to turn the whole world upside down or turn the whole world upside up. It is simply to see that tomorrow is not another day, a new day is not another future event, but a future world. The solution that a community or a society needs of today’s current problems, is not to turn the whole world upside down. It is simply to see that tomorrow is not another day, a new day is not another future event, but a future world.
There Are Ways In which History Can Change How to Improve a SocietyHow to Improve a Society
It is important not to be complacent about the things that come with changing the world. This is because the changes created by the present societies are quite different to the ones being made by the future societies. However, the only way that it is possible to make changes in other worlds that we are not currently involved in is probably by putting forward ideas that are not as developed as those in the future societies.
To some extent, changes in the future societies are very much like the changes that were made when we first lived in the past. The original society was not yet prepared for the new. The differences between the current societies are so profound that they cannot be easily overstated. It certainly would not be a stretch to say that this is why the changes were so pronounced and significant when we lived within the past.
However, in the past it was possible that the current society might not have the capacity to do something that it had to do before. It is true that people within the present society would have had to deal somewhat with the challenges that people would face in order to make their own society. It would also have had to deal with certain limitations and problems which would have caused the present society to struggle under its own resources. The present society did not have enough to do but it did have sufficient resources to handle the situations it faced. This has made matters such as this quite difficult.
The present society is not likely to have the resources required to solve the difficulties it faces today. This is because the present society has created so many problems and problems which may not yet be solved for the reasons that they have been caused. There are even now many problems that are not yet solved. Some problems may have already occurred in the past but they still don’t solve today.
How should society be organized today?: What are the most important policies and plans that we have in place? Is the current society sufficiently well organized for it to succeed in the world? What would be the major responsibilities of society for a civilization that would not rely on organized systems ?
We need to start thinking in the big picture as well. With all the changes and differences in society and the other society that we have encountered in the past, it is quite difficult to imagine that it can be completely completed within today. What we need to do more than ever to keep our present societies thriving at present, is to see the present society do something similar today.
The Future Society
The present society does not need
Divorce is an important subject today just as it was 2500 years ago when Medea was written. Jason leaves Medea for a younger woman. This isn’t uncommon these days. According to
Male dominance, although not as prominent as it was, still is an important issue in today’s society. Euripides builds women up to be quite useless. As Jason states, “If women didn’t exist human life would be rid of all its miseries.”(Pg 34). In today’s society, male dominance is still in existence. Men bring home the money, and women stay home and look after the children. Even though this is changing, it is still the image that most people have in their minds. Another aspect of male dominance in today’s world is that most of the advanced countries in the world have never had a female leader. Be that President or Prime Minister. Some of these countries are America, Russia, Japan, Brazil, Italy and Australia. In Medea, Jason talks about
”(Pg 34) ’In the 19th century, in Medea, the men started to fight for women´s rights in their country’s top brass, the military, and the judiciary.  But in their minds, they just didn´t have these things to do with women´s rights. What did this mean? It means that some of them started to realize that these ideals for equality could be a huge threat to many a country’s economic and social health.  Some of the men became madly angry, so that they started looking for ways to bring in more money so that the women could be taken care of and not be taken at the expense of their children.
The men, however, didn´t really care about their daughters. The men were concerned they were taking too many women into their home and women was too close to their children. They had a lot of money and they knew that their children would be in the home and they did as they pleased. The men were worried that their children and grandchildren would be taken from them on a whim if the women had children with them. They wanted them to be the ones to take care of them.  This has been pretty typical in the past. The women´s power of choice only extends until you get older. In this respect, it just doesn´t apply to the women. Since the majority of women do have the power of choice, they cannot stand men who want to take the leadership of their families, they must work with men instead. For their children. It doesn´t matter whether they are young children or adults, in life they are supposed to do as they please.
The men were also very concerned about their sons being taken away from them. When a mother was getting old, they wouldn´t even make it through school. They were concerned about the risk they would take, and the risk being taken because the father was a bit old. And that was enough. After all, they had more children than the average person does, so even if the father was older, he didn´t want to take them back. So they started to work with men, with other women to work with.  So soon, the men realized that the man was the hero of their family and family was their life. Women still don’t know that.
Many men are so confident in their daughters that they look back at their children and tell them, “If they don´t work together with you, who are they rooting for?” (Pg 35.) It is quite clear that the men could have been more concerned about the daughters and the mother to be able to survive and raise the children, and could have asked more.
