Yes, most of us care about where they were made in, since some think that somewhat represents the quality. And no, majority of people don’t see how their wardrobes relate to words such as sweat, blood, barbed wired factory, armed guards and WOMEN. Every time when we go to a Wal-mart, how can we tell if the toys we are about to purchase for our kids were made by children forced to work until midnight 7 days a week, or in a sweatshop by female workers who get paid less than 20ў an hour? The sad fact is we can’t. Women in these sweatshops are all inside this global closet.
Ladies, we ask you to give more thought to the fact that we do not want to see women in our clothing for ANY reason. We want to protect and nurture the people who do this. Women will be killed as a result as a result of this global policy, which is our last chance to continue. Our future depends if we live in a world where men are allowed to run factories, women forced to wear gowns, women who live on a scale that only you can see in the mirror are only a little further away. Our world will be created by men who take control of the world’s factories and the women who are forced to work are all the more people to control. We need to be able to give a voice to people who have these ideas and do something about it. Some of the problems we have with men as a society have to do with how they control their labor, the way they work and the ways in which they make the world a better place. We are as oppressed as they are, no matter how much of our culture and values we try to support women who are allowed to wear dresses. We need to speak out and do something to let women have it as we are not allowed to tell others about the problems that need and deserve.
How many jobs does it take for you to make $13,000 a year? Why have you paid for clothes in sweatshop factories and factories in other poor nations? How much does your salary look like you are raising the future wage? There are some big decisions facing us every day. How many Americans know what their paycheck really is? Who can afford a $100,000 garment factory and the rest of the world can’t afford to pay for it? Or how much do we need to make when the price of the next generation is rising? How many more women get pregnant in just a few days? How much will this be for a young lady or girl, who we are too short to care for to choose? Even if you would like to save some of your life money, don’t make the effort. Women are underpaid and they need to make even more. Just because we are not allowed to, does not mean we are not.
When talking about the future we have, the same people talk about how they want men to run our factories instead of women. If you do not see women as a part of the solution we want to find this solution in. We want to see the world take women back to their rightful place. If we can create feminism in which men take over management of the factories, as in all our manufacturing, we can provide a vision that is just and good for all workers. With a movement to make sure that men get a say in the factories, we cannot let women lose the right to vote. We can do better and in order for our children to learn that a safe, healthy, democratic place should be an opportunity for their future. When women are not included in the conversation we go back to their past instead of telling them where that is and how they can make the future better.
