The reason why ENOC was chosen because of the major changes and developments that happened over the years, It was established on 1993 and now it has over 30 active subsidiaries and international joint ventures, primary focus has been to develop downstream and upstream activities in the oil and gas sector. Over the years the business portfolio expanded to include refining, oil trade, terminalling & storage, bunkering, liquefied petroleum gas, aviation fuel marketing, lubricants blending & marketing, informational technology, with core operations in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa.

Another major reason for Choosing ENOC was the total shut down of all ENOC petrol stations in Sharjah for not complying with the the government demands to resume their services since they were not providing fuel for consumers, quoting from Osama Samra, Director of the Sharjah Media Center A “lack of responsiveness” from the ENOC group prompted the Sharjah Economic Development Department to close their petrol stations.
