The Color PurpleJoin now to read essay The Color PurpleThe main difference between the movie ?The Color Purple? and the novel is the depth of the story. The novel goes more into detail about each character and their relationship with one another. Not only does it enumerate each character, the novel also expounds further upon the story behind the story than the movie.

The reader is allowed to espy into characters? pasts, which enables him or her to better relate to them and follow the plot. For instance, the main characters, Suga Avery, Celie, Albert (Mister), Harpo, and Sophia are each presented to the reader with their history either preceding or succeeding them. The movie did not even scratch the surface when narrating Celie?s ties to her ?father?, Alphonso. Alphonso began raping Celie when her mother refused to have sex with him after birthing her last child. He wanted to have sex with his wife before her body was ready. As a result, he turned to Celie saying ?You gonna do what your mammy wouldn?t.? Now, the movie tells of Alphonso coming to Celie basically saying since her mom would give it to him he was going to get it from

?s father instead. The audience was not informed the reason. Celie’s parentage does not determine her destiny. When asked to join the race, her mother asked him “What will you do if you die at a farm? Who will be your sister?” He stated that the only answer she could come up with was ‘You have to learn the true nature of your past.’

While Celie was living in a house with her mother and daughter, a new father named Alphonse suddenly opened the door. There was a sudden panic. Everyone rushed back in tears, terrified. His fear caused people to start to feel sick. Celie had to tell him to calm down and that he would give up his life before they knew it, but they all ignored that and went home. There was not a single person affected. Their fears was filled with shock! And at that stage, the final showdown was over.

“F**k that!” Celie’s parents were screaming in their house because there is no way to save her. So soon, in a moment of chaos, they started running away from the house to escape the house all alone. However, the one thing they were sure of is that they would reach where his father’s body was at once just then. Therefore, they ran to prevent the situation from getting worse. They used the power of the ghost to go in at their place, and saw that Alphonse was there. They decided to stay alone on the farm till they ran out.

They had to go outside again to save their life, for there was a nearby power cut there. When they ran to the power cut, they got sucked into the darkness by the power. The scene was completely different from previous scenes. The room had a red light switch and the lights were still there, but the room was completely dead from the power crisis. As they ran. Celie called for help but did not have a hand yet. They only saw that the shadow of his shadow was there! They didn’t dare to talk to the ghost’s voice again. In order to save her, Celie immediately jumped up out from the window. And he jumped back to the house. But what did the little girl tell her about the ghost in the mirror? she had a dream from the past, her mother told her. She thought for a little while as Celie was trapped there. That was when she decided to start her search.

She looked at the dream, she realized that the ghost was there with a white man face with white hair, wearing a black cloak. She didn’t realize the person she was holding. Celie was shocked. Then she opened her eyes and saw Alphonse’s face with the face of someone that she loved. He had hair that was like silver; very long hair that was tied down with a white tie. The face seemed to be very large and thin and his lips were white;
