Love
“Love is an act of endless forgiveness, a tender look which becomes a habit” (www.lovepoemsandquotes.com/lovequotes.html). This quote states that love is like forgiving people over and over, that endearing look that is reveled becomes a continuous tradition. There are many different ways to define love, one being the dictionary. According to the Websters Dictionary, “Love is a strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties” (681). It is designed to say something about us, and how we express our feelings toward one another. It can simply be revealed by the words you say and the actions you perform. In addition to the dictionary definition of love, it is also defined by the psychological, religious and music view points.

In any way we define love, everyone finds themselves longing for it. The words “I love you” are influential words. To hear those words can be breathtaking, and make us feel good inside. It can also make us teary and distressed if it is not understood in the right way. Love is a self-motivated feeling and we all have a need to be loved and to express love ourselves. This need is an essential human way of life itself.

Love of self is the basis for all other kinds of love. A person who feels self-love has the capacity for loving others. It may be directed toward friends and family members. Loving friendships are characterized by mutual respect and caring. Love between friends is spoken deeply, and they accept you for who you are. Youre not in a relationship with that person where you have to fret about your family problems and respect your husband or wife in accountable ways, and if this is not performed it could lead to divorce (Heit, 35).

Another type of love is religious love. Love for god, performing and expressing what you truly believe in. Sometimes people will show this type of love by praying for one another to receive their love they have given out. There are two different types of religious love, scripture and friendship.

“God like love is known as agape. Love in the scripture is Gods special way of showing love. We can choose to show this amazing love by actively thinking about, and deciding how we act toward other people. You give your love to people and expect nothing in return. Phileo love is the love we call friendship, a love that is self-interested and focuses on our feelings. Phileo love would be a person who gives their love and expects to get it back in return.”

We give our love out and receive it back, to truly have a good friendship both groups must give and return. Phileo love is more commonly used, people are more focused on friendship before they point out love. They are giving their friendship/love out to one another, and expecting it back. We should all make use of these two types of love to demonstrate and express how you give and receive your love towards one another. It is simply stated that people need to be there for one another and we need to be there for them (www.horizosnet.org/sermons/).

“What really matters is that you love, with what you have to love” (Lord, 123). Many times people find themselves with nothing to love, or no one loving them. Sometimes people fail to realize that loving their spouse, children, and family members is enough. Show each and every one of them how much you truly care and love them, express your true love and gratitude with what you have to love. You may not feel like youre loved, but deep down inside someones heart there is love, its just not being expressed.

Another kind of love is Endless Love, love that lasts forever. The one thing that is right in life and you want to share it evermore. A love that has been found, shared, and expressed forever as one. This is explained in a song of the same title by Lionel Richie.

My love, theres only you in my life
The only thing thats right
