How Do You Define the Word Success?
How do you define the word success? Success is having belief in oneself and overcoming the obstacles that we are faced with each day. The feelings of success can not be achieved without the feelings of pain and suffering. There are things in this world that I wish I could change, but when I sit and think I know that I would not be the man I am today if I had not been placed with these obstacles. I grew up without a father and I was separated from my mother at a young age. I was then placed in a foster home under the care of my aunt, where I live today. I am the only male in the house therefore I have gained the most responsibilities. I believe I am the strongest role model for my three female cousins who have also been taken in by my aunt. I want to show them that there are better things in life than the things that they have experienced growing up. If I were to attend college I would be the first in my family. The most recent incident that I had to overcome was the loss of my baby brother. I saw my dream of having a brother disappear when my mother had miscarriage.

The loss of my brother greatly affected me, but it only pushed me to work harder and achieve the life I want. I have also experienced many great things in my life as well. I enjoy playing sports such as basketball, football, and soccer. I have played all three throughout the course of high school. I feel that my talents could carry me far if I was given the right opportunities. I believe that with my determination I could continue to play football in college. Growing up I believe I have always had great schooling when I lived in West Allis and Brookfield. Throughout my life I have been provided with a wide variety of friends and activities. My drive to succeed has helped me overcome many situations in my life and now I am given a perfect opportunity to continue my path towards success.

I have narrowed it down to at least three schools of choice that I would love to attend they consist of Marquette University, Cardinal Stritch, and UW-Milwaukee. The reason for choosing Marquette is because they have a great business
