We will be looking at the way and the reason that Apple moved the company to China. The reason they did is because Apple had to find over “8,700 people to be industrial engineers which would take over 9 month in the United States” (Farnham, 2014, p. 143) . But in “China it only took them 15 days to find them” (Farnham, 2014, p. 143). “The quest by Apple for a long- run efficiency and cost cutting has not come without some controversy” (Farnham, 2014, p. 143). The reason for this is because the working condition in China are not the best for the workers. Many of the workers have been injury along the way from poor safety issues that are there in China. Also with “assembled high-tech” products made of imported key parts and components. Low skilled labor is the major input from China to these products, which are manufactured along global supply chains with many companies located in various countries involved in the production processes” (Yuqing, 2014, p. 111).The way that the short-run and the long run different is the following ways, “Short-run both input in this production function can be varied by the amount of output that can be produced is related to the amount of both the capital and the labor used” (Farnham, 2014, p. 144). But the long- run is the while the “Managers at Apple Inc. and other companies discussed in the case considered new technologies and change s in all of the input of the production in their decisions” (Farnham, 2014, p. 144).
How can diminishing returns affect Apple in this situation?The way the Apple is affected by the diminishing return is by the way that they are make new phone all the time. By the time the new phone comes out the next one is being made so they are changing the phones all time with new equipment in them. Patience in 2 Peter it says “Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with wisdom that God gave him” The way that the two are in touch with each other is because we have to show Jesus that we are to follow him and to make the right decision through God.
