Greenville North Carolina is capable of internet cellphone speeds of up to 4G. Yet there are those who would say we have no culture, and the “scene” is dying, along with the “scene kids.” Need:  As a local scenester, local music enthusiast, and scene kid recently explained via facebook post, “The local music scene is dying, come on Greenville, do more music stuffs.” This clearly illustrates a dynamic problem with the creative culture in Greenville. Someone needs to do something about these “scenesters” and their complaining on facebook. I hired a sky writer to write “support the local music scene,” and they charged by the letter, so I had them sky write it in cursive, and no one understood it, just looked like jibberish.Thats also why my girlfriend, is still my “girlfriend,” instead of being my “fiancee”What is a scenester? Scenesters are kids usually between the ages of 13-21 who believe dressing like Big Bird will show their keen fashion sense. While claiming to be “about the music,” Scene Kids pride themselves on being unpredictable (here meaning find out what people think is “cool” and make fun of it while doing the exact opposite.)What is wrong with that? All the complaining. Someone needs to do something to prove once and for all that the scene is not dead and that it is in fact alive and doing well.
