Walter, Ruth, Beneatha and Mama had dreams of their own on what the money should be spent on. Walter wants to spend all the money on a liquor store. He thought that it would be a quick way for him to get rich. Also, by investing on the liquor store he would get all the things his family has ever wanted, a better life.
