We use this knowledge to shape everyday life. Knowing is known as a power that everyone possesses, this power can be used to decide which information is right or wrong to face big challenges and succeed when making everyday life decisions. All possibilities in this life might be good within the constraints; however, when people take themselves to an abusive level of necessity, it becomes dangerous for them and all those surround them. Gambling has a number of negative effects that distinguish it from other challenging activities; some of these issues are: addictions, family problems and bankruptcy. On the other hand gambling has a slew of positive effects on the economy and the government; some of these things include: Economic Growth, the creation of new jobs, and substantial tax income that can help improve the Las Vegas Valley.The Year of 1931 was a very important time for the workers traveling between Salt Lake City and Las Angeles because that was the year gambling was legalized in the city of Las Vegas. The legalization of gambling in the city brought a lot of money to the economy and led to the expansion of the city not only was it a city full of workers but now Las Vegas was a city full of tourist that wanted to gamble because it was illegal all across the country.The first hotel casino that was built in the area which is now known as the famous “ Las Vegas Strip” was the EL Rancho. The Growing  business brought many other open minded business man to the city and soon many more casinos were built. Around that time Flamingo was built and became one of the most famous casinos in Las Vegas bringing lots of tourist and money to the city.

In the early 1970’s business owners began turning regular casinos into resorts which included things like rooms for guests to stay in, pools, restraints, Arcade areas for younger crowd and even movie theaters which made casinos a family friendly environment and made Las Vegas a vacations spot.Although gambling has many great impacts on the growth of the las vegas city it can also lead to major problems with the person who is gambling. Las Vegas has made it easy for gamblers to keep gambling and losing more and more of their money by offering free alcohol as you gamble. When a person finally gets intoxicated they are most likely going to lose control of what they are doing and keep spending money they may later need for rent or bills. Another negative affect that gambling has is it tears apart family’s. Gambling is a time consuming thing and many times people will spend more time wasting money then spending time with loved ones. Gambling not only has a negative emotional effect on young children but excessive gambling can lead to a financial crisis; many gamblers accumulate thousands of dollars of debt without knowing it.
