ARCHIPELAGO- a large group or chain of islands any large body of water with many islands and or in other words Any sea or broad sheet of water interspersed with many islands or with a group of islands. Some 50 million years ago, the archipelago was formed by volcanic eruptions which is how an archipelago is formed.

ISLAND-An island is a piece of land that is surrounded by water. Water being any type of body of water wheter it be a lake,ocean or pond. the island jus must be completely surrounded by water isolated by itself

OCEAN- An ocean is a large body of salt water that surrounds a continent. Oceans
cover more than two-thirds of the total earths surface.
BEACH- The beach is the shore of a body of water, especially when sandy or pebbly.
Or it can be the sand or pebbles on a shore. Or in other cases it can be the zone above the water line at a shore of a body of water, marked by a an accumulation of sand, stone, or gravel that has been deposited by the tide or by the waves. In the beach several animals have made in a natural habitats from it.

SHORELINE- A shorline is basically the edge of a body of water. The body of water can be anything from as small as a river or to as large as an ocean. No mater what there always as to be a shoreline because the water is going to end somewhere.

PENNINSULA- A peninsula is a body of land that is surrounded by water on three sides. This does not mean two sides or four by exactly three sides must be out in the water. This usually means that its unusally sticking out of the rest of its

whole land area/perimiter
ESTUARY- An estuary is where a river meets the sea or ocean.
this is just like a meeting spot where it goes from very large amount of water meetin a very small amount of water
BARRIER REEF- A Barrieer Reef i a long narrow ridge of coral or rock parallel to and relatively near a coatline, separated
from the coastline by a lagoon to deep for coral growth.
LAGOON- a lagoon is a shallow body of water that is located alongside a coast. the lagoon is set out to be habitated by many creatures. Along a coast allows easy acsess to numerous animals and things.

FJORD- A fjord is a long narrow sea inlet that is bordered by steep cliffs. The steep cliff are for two reasons. One being b.c. of being worn down by the ever moving sea passing by. And two because it being so narrow the water has no where to go but up so it passes by water mor efficently.

LAKE- A lake is a large body of water surrounded by land on all sides of the lake. really huge lakes are often what makes and is called seas. This is one reason why many people ten to mix up seas and lakes.

VOLCANO opening in the earths surgace the erupts sulfuours gases, ash, and lava; can form at earths plate boundaries, where plates move apart or together, and at hot spots. Magma bing a key component of a volcano is hot, melted rock material beneath the earths surface.Though lava is like magma in a way.Lava is the molten rock that flows from volacanoes onto the earths surface.

DESERT- the desert is a very dry area. Usually filled with cactuses and dry sediments like sand. This is due to the extremeley hot weather. Only certain things can live in the desert because only so few things can stand the heat. rts cover about one fifth (20 percent) of the earth\s land area. The desert is a harsh environment with very little rainfall and extreme temperatures. Desert plants (like cacti ) are not abundant; neither is animal life. Deserts are very dry regions with limited plant and animal life.

OASIS- An oasis is a place in the deser that has wather and is fertile.Which is the one source besides cactuses that people and animals can get their natural resources in the middle of a desert. though it can never disappear

because as stated before an oasis will always stay full and fertile
SAND DUNE- A sand dune is a hill or ridge made of sand. the dunes are shaped bye the wind, and change all the time. This is because the wind it never gonna blow exactly the same way. its gonna constantly change because the wind is not a constant variable in the game of weather.
