In this scene, Lady Macbeth comes up with the idea that she wants to kill Duncan. Lady Macbeth doesnt want to commit the murder. She wants Macbeth to murder Duncan. Macbeth is having a lot of second thoughts about killing Duncan. He is very afraid what would happen if he does commit the murder. He is also nervous about what would Lady Macbeth do to him if he does not commit the murder.

Before Lady Macbeth is shown in the scene, Macbeth decides that he is going to go against Lady Macbeth and not kill the king Duncan. His reasons for not wanting to kill Duncan are that he is a loyal king, he would feel really guilty, and he is loved by many people. He knows that if people were to find out that he killed Duncan that no one would respect him. Duncan is not a bad guy to anyone in the town, and does a good job leading the county. If Macbeth listened to Lady Macbeth and were to kill Duncan the town would be so upset. Also the town would want too know who killed Duncan. Lady Macbeth doesnt want Duncan or his son alive. But Macbeth knows that he might be killed if he does kill him. The town would not respect Macbeth or Lady Macbeth if they found out there plan or kill Duncan.

Even though he does not want to let Lady Macbeth down, he is afraid of what would happen if he was king. If Macbeth were to kill Duncan and become king, he would be very afraid. He would be afraid that he could no handle the country and that he would let people down. He is afraid that people would like Duncan better then himself. He reached his decision by saying “I have no spur to prick the sides of my intent, but only vaulting ambition.”( Act 1 Scene 7 Lines 25-27) His decision was hard to make but he finally thought it all out. He decided that he was going to go against Lady Macbeth and not kill Duncan. He feels Duncan should have the right to live.

Lady Macbeth did not agree with Macbeth one bit. Lady Macbeth feels that Macbeth should feel the same way as her, and want to kill Duncan. Lady Macbeth finds many ways to make Macbeth change his mind about everything. She persuade Macbeth into agreeing with her. She changes her moods from being mad at him to understanding what is going to happen is one of the things how she persuades Macbeth.

Lady Macbeth demands a lot of things for Macbeth to do. She feels that they should always be thinking the same things. If Lady Macbeth wants someone to be murdered, Macbeth should be offering to commit it for her. That he should be ready to help Lady Macbeth with anything she needs without her having to persuade him to do it for her.

In scene 7 Macbeth is doing the opposite of what Lady Macbeth wants. Lady Macbeth is questioning her husband about why he doesnt want to kill the king. That he is withdrawing the fact that her and her husband would become rulers of the country. By continuously questioning Macbeth, Lady Macbeth convinces him to kill the king. By all of this happening
