This issue has always been suppressed and the media, the human welfare organizations, the government have, even up till now, undeniably failed to acknowledge and counter the problem. Women, especially young girls, all around the world have been subjected to these debilitating human right abuses. Women who dishonor their families because of sexual indiscretions, inappropriate dressing in public or simply because they dont surrender to their familys wishes are forced to pay a terrible price at the hands of male family members leading to the instigation of honor killing. These honor dominant transgression result in corporal punishment ranging from attempted murder, rape, domestic violence, female infanticide, dowry related crimes, acid attacks, female genital mutilation, forced abortions and forced marriages.

• To those of you who have been reading the previous post, thank you for your continued vigilance to keep us safe in Pakistan.
• In accordance with the Islamic Law, even death is part of the punishment of a god, but for any religious belief, honor killing should just be viewed as an act of punishment and not as a punishment for others.< /li>
• To all who have read the previous post, you’ve clearly become a bad influence on the Pakistani people and the political process in general.–
• To all who have been reading the previous post, it’s not that your content is anti-American< /li>
• And it’s not that you believe in free speech, because it is against the law to promote such an ideology through the practice of honor killing. But there is a big difference between saying that honor killing is one of the most cruel forms of violence that a person may commit in their life or in their family, and saying that those who commit honor killing ought be made to feel ashamed or guilty for doing so.< /li>
• By not speaking out and not doing anything, your followers will be caught in the middle.< /li>
• Also, by supporting your belief that honor killing is bad, your followers may not be safe to engage in dialogue, because they might be seen as extremists, or perhaps even criminals because they think they are innocent. If these are the facts, what does merit your belief?
• Or maybe you just don’t find those that you disagree with to be honest or at all true. In your defense, you may be right; but if your views are so harmful, why is your view not being expressed in meaningful way?
• For the rest of you, please keep your head up, or whatever you decide, and make the call to action–be it religious, cultural, or political.
