Jonathan Livingston Seagull is a very well-written book. And from what Ive read, I can say that it is a very universal book with indefinite meanings based from our interpretations. Mine was that, Jonathan never seemed to be content with what he has, but not in the sense of material goods, but the fact that he believes that he has what it takes to expand his wing-span of capabilities, literally. Seagulls have been doing the same thing everyday; and to compare it with us people, most of us follow the stereo-type based on our interests. We never seem to deviate. And what Jonathan has made me realize is that, well never know if we dont try. He believed that to live life to the fullest is the best way to live life. Most of us, do what others do just because a majority of a ceratin social class is doing the same thing. I dont believe in traditions and cultures. We should always be free of making our own decisions and doing what we want to do. It just depends if what were doing is something bad, but otherwise, its safe. One can never be happy if that certain person cannot do what he wishes to.

I really highly recommend this book to people who are practically tired of their everyday rituals or habits. There always is something more to life than what we know now. There is always room for us to expand our horizons and do things totally different but still end up in the same result, if not, better. This universal book really can help us and guide toward life-changing realizations that would make life better. I know my self-esteem has definitely been boosted and there are a lot of lessons Ive learned that I will definitely carry-on through life.
