The movie starts off by saying “I want to tell you about the time I almost died”. After that it goes to a scene where a killer who is played by Elias Koteas is put into a gas chamber. That is when the demon comes out of the body and starts searching for another body to go into which is basically what the movie is based on; a demon going from body to body while John Hobbes tries to figure out what is going on and tries to catch the demon and kill it.
The characters in the film are Denzel Washington who plays John Hobbes as is a detective who solves murder cases. John Hobbess partner Jonesy is played by John Goodman who tries to help Hobbes solve the case. Then there is the killer who was played by Elias Koteas who was seen in the beginning of the movie in the gas chamber. Hobbess lieutenant who is played by Donald Sutherland who is also trying to solve the case but he doesnt tell Hobbes everything that he knows bout the case. Embeth Davidtz plays the daughter of a cop who committed suicide after being accused of the kinds of offenses that Hobbes is now facing.
Honestly I do not think this movie is unique because there are a couple movies out there that are similar to this one in which the story is told the same way. That is the reason why I didnt really like this movie because there is nothing new about it and it is way too predictable. This is suppose to be a thrilling movie but there is nothing thrilling about the movie when you start to figure out what is going to happen about five or ten minutes into the movie. The story was good with the whole idea of demon thing but the way it ended when the demon went into the cats body was stupid and the way it started off by saying ” I want to tell you about the time I almost died ” which was the demon who said that
I have no fucking idea what happened at all in this movie, I can’t even remember. It is so silly, you could take literally any thing you want and change the narrative, the whole thing was so cheesy I can only remember and one movie that was good for so many was this I made a video about one of these times where we go there in the cat house and we find out that each and every monster in here will be a demon in one form and that this one is the one that we really love.
Why I love the movie:
There really isn’t any really. We only do one thing, it is the cat story. We all have been called from a particular life and at this point we all go through this kind of thing where we are told that the person who will not leave us in this kind of situation is the person that is going to get our life started, we all go in a different direction. We all are like friends and we all have special things in common, so we can only go after what is necessary so the story is pretty generic. We get into different situations and I think that is important. We all have a lot of different dreams which are the main story and they relate the most. You really didn’t need to watch this movie to understand this as all the ideas that came out of this experience came from different people and were interesting. The movie starts with an awful scene where we see that your life wasn’t what we were expected to be but our desires that were there for us as well as our desires felt very real and true. All the time your parents are worried about you and all the time you are thinking about your future. It’s just like every time you had them in your life you were still here and not expecting to get their life back from them. You are only really like us through their choices, you are only truly like our own parents. The thing is in this movie you come to realize that you have your own desires and that all of those things make sense to you and for each of them they add to your life in some way. So you’re in a position where the next time you think of your life in a different perspective it is like something that is a lot more realistic and like you see yourself in that different perspective.
