Introduction – How to use the cognitive Dissonance Theory approach in your own lives

There are various types of cognition (e.g. ‘minds’, ‘mental processes’) where people use these techniques to solve problems and to assess progress and to act/act accordingly. In this article I will outline the various cognitive Dissonance Theory methods and concepts to help you to identify which ones work best on which problem specific aspects. These methods include using your imagination & ability to think in a logical way, or by using what we call the ’emotions’ method, where we are concerned with one or at least two other issues. You will find many of these techniques at your local local library store, or online at some book shop. At your local library you will have a variety of methods to get from a limited perspective a good explanation of what these are and to choose how you want to tackle them. For this purpose I will introduce a few examples of cognitive Dissonance methods from this category in order to give you an appreciation of what they stand for.
